Diamond Jubilee Fundraising Campaign
For the past 6 decades, with the blessing of God and support from various stake holders, La Salle Primary School (“LSPS”) has established a reputation for its exceptional educational accomplishments. It has set an enviable track record of contribution to the multiple facets of our society, if not the global community. This impressive achievement would not be possible without having a very talented line-up of our boys, outstanding teaching staff, supportive parents and old boys as well as the selfless dedication of the De La Salle Brothers.
The School has always set for itself the objective to follow St. John Baptist de La Salle’s mission of providing a human and Christian education to the young, paying particular attention to the needy, while developing mindsets and hearts to "conquer every ill".
By touching the minds and hearts of the children confided to our care, and by providing unsurpassed quality of education, we will strive to continue to be the primary school in Hong Kong of inimitable standards. Most important of all, we aspire nurturing our boys into becoming #Lasallian Gentlemen. We want them to be equipped with skills that will allow them to excel and flourish in the 21st century, developing a passion for life-long learning, and above all, creating a difference in the people and community around them.
As we celebrate the Diamond Jubilee in the academic year 2017 – 2018 under the theme "Sparkling Onwards and Upwards", there is little doubt that the road ahead of LSPS will continue to be an exciting one. Nevertheless, it will also be a journey full of challenges. It is essential for LSPS to be able to cope with, if not stay ahead of these challenges. It is also essential for LSPS to establish strategies as well as identify opportunities that will enable us to continue to contribute to society as in the past 6 decades.
After extensive review and discussion, the School has identified the following priority areas of enhancement for the coming five years. These are the main areas where investment by LSPS are required to ensure that we are able to prepare our boys for the challenges ahead:
The estimated cost for such initiatives is around HK$20 million at present day prices. Voluntary contributions, large or small, are welcome from old boys, past and present parents and friends. Your generosity and support would reaffirm the important role that LSPS plays in the local education sector. The School will work together with the Parent-Teacher Association for all major fundraising events. Funds raised will be managed and administered by the La Salle Foundation, a designated charity, and due recognition will be given to donors.
TThe School looks forward to your active participation in its monthly Diamond Jubilee events. Further details can be found on the celebrations page. Please contact Ms. Pat Wong, Head of School Office, at 2336 2609 or dj60@la-salle.edu.hk for queries related to the fundraising campaign.
